BeFree Replacement Cartridge

The Katadyn EZ-Clean Membrane Filter Cartridge is the replacement hollow fibre filter for all blue Katadyn BeFree water filtration systems. It flows up to 2 liters per minute and treats about 1,000 liters of clear water.

The trade-off is that it is designed for clear water from streams and lakes, like the original BeFree filter it replaces.

It is for BeFree owners whose filter has reached the end of its life or who want a spare for a long trip. Swapping it in takes seconds, and having a fresh one in the pack is cheap insurance on a multi-day hike when you are counting on stream water.

It is field cleanable, so you can keep the flow up between replacements by shaking or swishing it in clean water.

We think it is the easy way to keep a BeFree going season after season, from the Long Trail to the Adirondacks and beyond.
