The Atris is the iconic Black Crows ski that first appeared in 2014, updated and improved over time and back for 26/27 with a new graphic. It is the everyday big mountain ski, 105 mm underfoot, built on a poplar and fiberglass core with a semi-cap construction and ABS sidewalls all around. The 184 measures 138/105/122 mm with a 20 m radius.

The trade-off of a firm, constant flex and a slightly straight sidecut is that it rewards a skier who likes to open it up. It is damp and composed at speed, and skiers who want quick, tight turns will prefer something softer.

It is for skiers who want a ski that excels in powder but also shows impeccable behavior in all conditions. A double rocker with a classic medium camber underfoot makes it accessible and versatile across the whole mountain.

The recommended mount point is 8 cm behind center. Come talk to us about the right length for your size and style.

We think the Atris is one tool to charge anywhere, from fresh snow in the trees to firm afternoon chop.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
