The Anomaly 88 is Blizzard's frontside-focused member of the Anomaly series, built with two sheets of titanal, FluxForm All Mountain and a Trueblend All Mountain woodcore. It has an 88 mm waist, a rockered tip and tail with camber underfoot, and turn radii from 15 m at 170 cm to 18 m at 182 cm.

The trade-off of an 88 mm waist is float. It carves like a saber on hard snow and handles variable conditions far better than most narrow skis, but on a deep day a wider ski will stay on top more easily.

It is for skiers who want to level up on groomers and bumps, and for the dry spells when snow hasn't fallen for weeks. Blizzard built it to keep firm-snow days fun.

Rocker/camber/rocker profile with metal for stability. We are happy to help you choose the right length for how you ski.

We love the Anomaly 88 for East Coast hardpack, a ski that makes every groomer feel like a playground.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
