The Sheeva 9 is Blizzard's 96 mm women's freeride ski, built for the days that are not perfect powder days. It uses a W.S.D. Trueblend Free woodcore of beech, poplar and paulownia with three flex zones, W.S.D. FluxForm Freeride Ti construction, and a rockered tip and tail with camber underfoot. At 174 cm it measures 129/96/118.5 mm with a 16 m radius.

The trade-off of a do-everything width is that it is a bit less floaty than the wider Sheevas on a deep day. In exchange it is quicker and more precise on firm snow and in bumps.

It is for women who ski the whole mountain and want one ski that handles most conditions. The softer tip and tail make turn initiation easy, while the stiffer center gives edge grip and stability.

Radius runs from 12 m at 150 cm to 16 m at 174 cm. Stop by and we will help you pick the right length.

We think the Sheeva 9 is a perfect everyday ski for Vermont, fun on the groomers and ready when the snow gets soft.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
