The Zero G 96 is Blizzard's all-around touring ski. It uses a Trueblend Tour woodcore of paulownia and poplar with an ash wood insert underfoot for torsional rigidity and power transmission, plus a 5 radius sidecut that pairs a straighter center for edge grip with smoother transitions at the tip and tail. At 178 cm it measures 127/96/111 mm with a 20 m radius and weighs 2620 g per pair.
The trade-off is that it is built for the uphill as much as the downhill. It is light enough for long tours, and Blizzard uses less carbon and more wood for a smoother ride, but a heavier resort ski will feel more planted at speed on hardpack.
It is for backcountry skiers who want confidence on steep and icy terrain as well as soft snow. The early rise tip and tail with camber underfoot keep it versatile.
Radius runs from 18 m at 164 cm to 22 m at 185 cm. We are happy to help you choose the right length and pair it with a touring binding.
We love the Zero G 96 as a do-everything touring ski for Vermont's backcountry, light on the skin track and confident on the way down.
This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.
