This is a pair of CAST 2.0 AFDs in the Touring version for ISO 9523 soles, the anti-friction devices for the CAST Freetour 2.0 alpine toe. The AFD is the plate your boot toe sits on, and it swaps on the underside of the toe base with two bolts.
The trade-off is that you need the right AFD for your boot sole. These are the touring and MNC version, so if you ski GripWalk or alpine soled boots, you want the matching AFD instead.
They are for Freetour 2.0 owners skiing touring-soled boots, whether replacing a worn AFD or setting up a second set of toes. They fit only the 2.0 system.
CAST offers 2.0 AFDs for alpine (ISO 5355), GripWalk (ISO 23223) and touring (ISO 9523) soles, so you can match the toe to the boots you ski.
We think a fresh set of AFDs is the small detail that keeps your Freetour toes releasing smoothly all season.
