The Kaizen 105 is DPS's confidence-inspiring all-mountain ski, with a 105 mm waist, full carbon construction and a split wood core for stability and dampness. This version comes in Satin Carbon Blue. It has Rockwell 48 steel edges, a 4000-series World Cup base with factory-applied Phantom Glide, a textured topsheet that shrugs off cosmetic damage and an aluminum tailbar, and it is made in the USA.

The trade-off is a ski that wants to be driven. It has a longer turn radius and less rocker than the rest of the Kaizen line, and its minimal tip taper keeps it engaged with the snow for a connected, planted feel. That rewards an aggressive skier, while anyone who likes quick, pivoty turns will get along better with the Kaizen 100.

It is for hard-charging skiers who want performance in both perfect and less than perfect conditions, from fresh groomers to powder and sunbaked crud. DPS says it does not believe in a true one-ski quiver, but that this one comes close.

DPS makes it from 155 to 189 cm. Stop by and we will help you choose the right length for your size and speed.

We love the Kaizen 105 for strong skiers who want one pair that charges every corner of the mountain, whatever the snow is doing.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
