The Dynafit Blacklight is a speed touring boot on a 101 mm last. It pairs a carbon-infused Grilamid lower shell with a full carbon cuff, Pomoca rubber soles, and tech fittings, and weighs roughly 1,080 g per boot.
The trade-off is in the details that make it light. It is tech binding only, and Skimo Co notes the carbon-infused shell has limited punchability for fit work and a lively, rebounding feel when skied hard.
It suits fast and light tourers and ski mountaineers who count grams and transitions, and who want more downhill backbone than a race boot. Skiers who split time between resort and backcountry will be better served by a boot with alpine or GripWalk compatibility.
The Ultra Lock 5.0 lever switches ski and walk in one move and frees 60 degrees of cuff rotation, with 15 and 18 degree forward lean options. A Twistfit dial with a wrap cable closes the instep, and the 5 mm Dynafitter 5 liner keeps weight down. Come see us for a boot fitting to get the size right.
We think the Blacklight is a great tool for big vertical days where moving efficiently matters most.
Ski boots are sized in Mondopoint, based on the length of your foot in centimeters. The chart below is a general reference for converting between sizing systems.
This chart is not a fitting. The only way to know your ski boot size is to be fit in person, either with a Boot Fitting at our shop or from a professional fitting you have had elsewhere. Sizing, shape, and volume vary by brand and model, and a performance fit is snugger than your street shoe. Unworn boots can be returned under our return policy, but a boot that doesn't fit can be a big hassle for your trip if you haven't tried it on.

Half Sizes
Ski boots are built with one shell for each full and half size, so a 27 and a 27.5 are the same boot with a different liner or footboard. That is why sizes are listed together, like 27/27.5.
Very few models differ from this. Scarpa is the main exception, pairing sizes the other way (for example, 26.5/27 share a shell). When a model is sized differently, we call it out on that product's page.
