The Dynafit Guide Leash is a minimalist safety leash for touring bindings that do not have ski brakes. It is a thin cable that connects your binding to your boot, with a carabiner clip you can work while wearing gloves, and it weighs just 35 g. It is sold as a pair.
The trade-off of a leash is one more thing to clip at every transition. On a brakeless setup that is a small price, since a ski that gets away in deep snow or on a steep face can end the day.
It is for alpine tourers, ski mountaineers and telemark skiers running lightweight bindings without brakes. If your bindings already have brakes, you do not need it.
The spring-coiled cable takes up the slack so it does not flap around while you ski or catch on the skin track, and the glove-friendly carabiner makes it quick to clip in at transitions.
We think the Guide Leash is the simplest way to make sure your skis stay with you on big days in the mountains.
