The Agent 2 is Faction's touring ski for untracked powder and sunny spring adventures. It measures 127/96/117 mm with a lightweight karuba wood core, a full carbon weave with carbon stringers, fiberglass, full-strength sidewalls, XL 2.5 mm edges and a sintered base, made in Austria. The 177 has an 18 m radius and weighs 1490 g per ski.
The trade-off of a 96 mm touring ski is a balance between climbing weight and downhill muscle. It is light enough to climb effortlessly, while skiers who tour mostly for deep powder will want something wider.
It is for intermediate to expert skiers who want genuine all-mountain performance on the way down without a heavy pack on the way up. Tip and tail rocker with camber underfoot and Mustache Flex keep it smooth in variable snow.
A flat, notched touring tail holds skins securely. Come talk to us about length and a touring binding and skin setup to match.
We love the Agent 2 in Blue as a do-it-all touring ski that climbs easily and skis like a real all-mountain ski.
This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
