The all-new Dancer 79 steps onto the groomed stage with one purpose: to carve high-energy arcs across firm snow with precision, rhythm, and unmistakable Faction personality. Built as the brand’s first true piste-focused ski, the Dancer 79 blends a minimal, performance-tuned rocker profile with a parabolic shape and razor-thin titanal sheets—delivering class-leading grip, exceptional composure at speed, and a lively snap from turn to turn.

A responsive poplar core keeps the ski light and agile while enhancing dampening and snow feel. Two layers of Dual Span Titanal add the stability and edge authority you expect from a dedicated frontside ski, absorbing vibration and locking the ski confidently onto the fall line. The progressive flat-tail shape gives racers the stability they crave while introducing a subtle rocker that makes pivots, feathered releases, and quick redirections feel effortless.

Finished with Full Strength Sidewalls for durability, an Anti-Chip Micro-Cap for long-term protection, and recycled materials throughout, the Dancer 79 is sharp, modern, and built to energize every groomer. Purposeful, electric, and precise—this is the piste, reimagined.

Features

Progressive Flat Tail

Flat-tail security and speed blended with calculated rocker for quick pivots, smoother releases, and stable high-speed carving.

Poplar Wood Core

Lightweight and resilient with natural vibration absorption. Provides balanced flex, strong edge grip, and responsive rebound on hardpack.

Dual Span Titanal

Two thin titanal layers deliver elite dampening, torsional strength, and unwavering stability in firm conditions.

Mustache Flex Pattern

Strong and supportive underfoot with progressively softer tips/tails for smooth initiation, terrain absorption, and confidence at any speed.

Elliptical Sidecut

Longer radius underfoot for precision pivots; shorter radius in the tip and tail for intuitive turn entry and tighter arcs when needed.

Full Strength Sidewalls

Robust ABS sidewalls improve edge hold, protect the ski’s structure, and extend durability over seasons of resort riding.

Anti-Chip Micro-Cap

A reinforced micro-cap at tip and tail prevents chipping where topsheet meets sidewall—ideal for high-use frontside skis.

Recycled Materials

Waste-responsible production with recycled base, sidewall, and topsheet materials molded back into the raw components.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
