The Prodigy Grom is Faction's youth all-mountain freestyle ski, the ski Henry Sildaru grew up on. It brings the same freestyle and freeride blend as the adult Prodigy to smaller skiers, with a full twin tip, full-strength sidewalls, an anti-chip micro cap topsheet and an elliptical sidecut. The 133 measures 114/82/106 mm with a 10 m radius.
The trade-off of a playful freestyle ski is that it favors fun and forgiveness over race-style edge hold. It is easy to turn and easy to spin, and young racers will want a dedicated carving ski.
It is for young skiers who love the park, side hits and exploring the whole mountain. A 6 out of 10 flex and rocker, camber, rocker profile make it easy to control while kids build skills.
Lengths run 113 to 143, and it comes flat so you can pair it with the right junior binding. Bring your skier in and we will help pick the right length and get the binding set up.
We think the Prodigy Grom is an awesome first freestyle ski for the next generation of freeriders.
Tech Features
Polyfly Foam Core
A foam core that keeps the ski as light as possible and damps vibration, easy for young skiers to control.
Elliptical Sidecut
A longer radius underfoot for quick pivots and shorter radii in the tip and tail for easy turn starts, so the ski handles many turn shapes and mount points.
Mustache Flex
Stable underfoot for solid edge hold, with a smoother, progressive flex in the tip and tail to soak up bumps and debris.
All-Mountain Twin Tip
A narrower tail than tip for downhill performance, with a twin tail that makes riding switch easy.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
