The Faction Studio 1 is built for skiers who see the terrain park as a workspace for progression and expression. Designed in collaboration with Faction’s elite freestyle athletes, this ski blends precise engineering with smooth, energetic performance—ideal for dialing in trick consistency, filming standout clips, and pushing the boundaries of creativity.

The Poplar–Ash wood core provides a lively, responsive ride with enough torsional strength to stay composed during high-speed in-runs and stomped landings. Integrated carbon stringers run tip to tail, adding snappiness and rigidity while keeping the ski lightweight. This balance of agility and power creates a ski that loads and releases energy predictably, whether you’re boosting jumps, buttering transitions, or locking into rails.

The symmetrical twin-tip shape ensures identical performance forward or switch, while subtle rocker in the tip and tail gives maneuverability without sacrificing control. A strong camber profile maximizes edge hold, helping you carve with confidence into takeoffs and maintain stability when landing spins. The Elliptical Sidecut combines a longer radius underfoot for smooth pivots with tighter radii at the extremities for quick, intuitive turn initiation—ideal for creative lines in and out of features.

Durability is engineered into every layer. A 600mm carbon-rubber stomp pad beneath the bindings absorbs harsh landings and shields the core from repetitive impact. XL 2.5mm edges—25% wider than industry standard—increase lifespan for heavy rail use, while the Full Strength Sidewall protects the wood core and enhances edge grip. An Anti-Chip Micro-Cap reinforces the topsheet at its most vulnerable points to prevent peeling and chipping throughout the season. Faction also incorporates recycled materials into the construction, reducing environmental impact without compromising strength, flex, or performance.

Poplar Core

A durable, medium-weight softwood that provides high energy return, smooth flex, and exceptional vibration absorption. Poplar ensures excellent grip, stability, and predictable performance in both the park and all-mountain conditions.

Carbon Stringers

Between 8–12 unidirectional carbon strips are woven into the fiberglass layers to increase stability, power, and longevity without adding bulk. This enhances strength along the full length of the ski while maintaining a lightweight, maneuverable feel.

Boat Flex Pattern

A stiffer tip and tail deliver maximum pop for aerial maneuvers, while a softer flex underfoot provides forgiveness and stability when setting edges or absorbing landings. Ideal for riders who want high-speed confidence with creative flexibility.

Elliptical Sidecut

A longer radius underfoot pairs with shorter radii at the tip and tail, making pivots easier and turn initiation effortless. This hybrid geometry supports a wide range of skiing styles and mounting positions, improving versatility and control.

Carbon & Rubber Stomp Pad

A 600mm-long reinforcement under the binding area protects the core from repeated impact and provides extra damping on heavy landings. The carbon-rubber blend increases stability and smoothness in rough conditions and big drops.

Recycled Material Construction

Faction reintroduces base, sidewall, and topsheet scraps into the production process, cutting waste and lowering emissions while maintaining premium durability and consistent flex patterns.

XL 2.5mm Edges

Wider, stronger edges built to withstand relentless rail sessions and hard snow conditions. These edges improve lifespan and maintain sharpness longer than standard park ski edges.

Full Strength Sidewall

A heavy-duty sidewall construction that shields the core, edges, and topsheet from impacts and daily wear. Provides greater torsional stability and enhanced grip on firm snow.

Anti-Chip Micro-Cap
