Fischer Control Step-In Binding 26/27

Fischer's Control binding for the Turnamic and IFP platform. Step in, click, ski. It mounts to the IFP plate rather than screwing to the ski, which means no drilling and fore-aft adjustment without tools.

Step-in is the feature worth paying for, because the alternative is bending over in the cold to seat a bar by hand. It is also the mechanism that suffers first if grit gets into it, so it wants an occasional rinse and dry rather than being ignored all season.

For recreational and entry-level classic setups where ease of use matters more than the last few percent of power transfer. Skiers racing or training hard want something lighter and more direct.

The fore-aft adjustment is the underrated part. Slide the binding forward for grip on a climb and back for glide on the flat, and do it at the trailhead in gloves.

This is the binding we put on most classic setups, because it works and nobody has to be taught how to use it.
