Fischer S-Bound 112 Crown/Dual Skin Xtralite 26/27

112mm at the shovel, the widest ski Fischer builds in this line. Crown base with Dual Skin so it takes skins in two positions, steel edge down both sides, and 65mm skins.

This is a powder ski that happens to have a scaled base. Float and turn shape come first and travel efficiency second, which reverses the priority of everything else in the Offtrack range. On a long flat approach you will wish you were on something narrower.

Buy it if your days are deep snow and short approaches. If there is real distance to cover before the good skiing starts, the S-Bound 98 travels meaningfully better and gives up less downhill than you would expect.

It needs a stiff boot and a solid binding underneath to work properly, so pair it with the BCX Grand Tour XP rather than something softer.

When it is deep and the glades are filling in, nothing else in this range floats and turns like it.
