The Transnordic 66 Crown Xtralite is Fischer's backcountry nordic touring ski. It has a lighter wood core for easier ascents, steel edges and a touring profile, with a Sintec base and Fischer's Offtrack Crown pattern for grip on the climb. A 200 cm ski weighs 1,730 g.
The trade-off of a crown base is that it gives up some glide compared with a waxable or skin ski, but it grips with no prep at all. You clip in and go, whatever the snow is doing.
It is for backcountry touring over rolling terrain, from long days on woods roads to multi-day trips and even polar expeditions.
Fischer sizes it with their XC ski length guide. Stop in and we will help you pick the right length and a binding to match.
We think the Transnordic 66 is a perfect ski for exploring Vermont's backcountry trails, simple, light and ready for adventure.
