The Fischer XJ Sprint Jr is a junior classic cross country boot built on the Turnamic Junior Sole, which clicks into both Turnamic and NNN-standard junior bindings. The sole is deliberately soft so young feet can flex naturally through the stride. Easy entry loops are sized for small hands, a lace cover keeps snow and moisture out, ComfortGuard insulation adds warmth, and a Nylex lining treated with Fischer Fresh helps manage odor.
The trade-off is that this is a recreational classic boot. It skips the reinforced ankle cuff of a competition boot, which keeps it soft and easy to ski but makes it less suited to skating.
It is made for kids and young teens learning to classic ski, from first-timers to skiers in school programs and clubs.
Fischer's Junior Fit is shaped for growing feet with modest extra room built in. Fit to the current foot size in ski socks, since an oversized boot costs control and causes heel lift, and check the fit again each season.
