The Hestra Army Leather Extreme Mitt is one of Hestra's warmest models, designed for severe cold and really tough weather. It has the same hardwearing Army goat leather as Hestra's other Army Leather models, a Flextron softshell 4-way stretch fabric that is wind and water resistant, and extra strong G-Loft insulation.
The trade-off is all warmth and very little dexterity. Hestra rates it 8 out of 8 for warmth and 1 out of 8 for mobility, so it shines at lower activity levels in the deepest cold.
It is for anyone who spends long days outside in severe cold, from skiers on frigid lift days to dog sledders, snowmobilers and other open-air workers. The microfleece liner is removable and easy to dry or wash, the high cuff shuts out snow and cold, and both the snowlock and the duckbill wrist adjustment work with one hand. A carabiner and wrist strap are included.
Hestra sizes mitts by number. Stop by the shop and try one on.
We think the Extreme Mitt is the answer for the coldest days of winter, when warm hands are the difference between a great day and a short one.
