The K2 Mindbender 101 is the widest of the core Mindbender trio, an all-mountain and big mountain ski with a reshaped Titanal laminate and slightly altered width for this season. Dark Matter inserts sit at strategic points along the perimeter to add smoothness at speed.
The core is Aspen and Paulownia with a Titanal I-Beam between the contact points, bonded with bio resin. It runs an All Terrain Rocker, full-length sidewalls, a sintered base and a partial twin tail, and K2 describes the turn initiation as intuitive with precise edgehold.
The trade-off for that extra width is a little less quickness edge to edge on hardpack compared with the 88 or 96. In return you get more float in soft snow and a calmer ride through chop.
It fits intermediate to advanced skiers who spend time off the groomers and want a ski that can handle a storm day as well as the morning after. Lengths run 164 to 192 cm; most skiers choose between nose and forehead height.
For powder mornings that turn into chopped-up afternoons, the Mindbender 101 is a stable, smooth ski that makes the whole day fun.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
