The K2 Mindbender 96 W is a mid-90s all-mountain ski for women and the successor to the popular 96 C. It keeps that ski's easy, intuitive turning and adds Titanal and Dark Matter Tech so it stays calm and composed when you push harder.
The core blends Aspen and Paulownia wood under a Titanal I-Beam that covers about two thirds of the ski's width, with Dark Matter weighting in the forebody and mid-tail. An All Terrain Rocker, bio resin layup and sintered base finish the package.
The trade-off against the old 96 C is a little more substance underfoot. Skiers who liked the C for its light, loose feel will notice more stability at speed and a bit more ski to steer, which is the whole point of the update.
It suits intermediate to advanced women looking for one ski for the whole mountain. Lengths run 153 to 173 cm; most skiers choose around chin to nose height.
For women who want a single ski that handles groomers, bumps and soft snow with equal confidence, the Mindbender 96 W is a terrific all-mountain partner.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
