The K2 Route is a very light in-mold helmet built for backcountry skiers who carry their helmet on their pack much of the day. This one is Black in size L/XL.
At about 320 grams it was billed as the lightest snow-specific helmet available. In-mold construction bonds the EPS liner to a light polycarbonate shell, and Passive Channel Venting moves air between your head and the helmet to carry out heat and moisture. It even earned Outside Magazine Gear of the Year.
The 360 BOA Dialed fit system gives a precise, comfortable fit. Ear pads are removable, a summer pad kit makes it bike certified, and tool-free side clips hold goggles or a headlamp.
It is beanie compatible and certified to ASTM F2040, EN1077 Class B, EN1078 and CPSC.
It is a great helmet for ski touring, skimo and early-morning missions.
