The Eiger Free Advanced HS Bib Pants are Mammut's lightweight freeride bibs, tested by professional freeriders for deep powder, narrow couloirs and exposed terrain. They are made with waterproof GORE-TEX C-KNIT fabric (28,000 mm water column, RET under 13) with GORE-TEX Pro edge protection, a Mammut FLEXGUARD Active bib and a RECCO reflector. They weigh 625 g.
The trade-off is price and purpose. These are a premium, uninsulated shell built for big-mountain days, so on cold resort days you will layer underneath, and a simpler bib costs less if you mostly ride lifts.
They are for serious backcountry and freeride skiers. A Barryvox-compatible bib pocket, a full-length right side zip with drop seat and a 3/4-length vent zip cover long climbs and big descents.
Snow sports regular fit with dual-sided waist adjustment, adjustable bib height with stretch suspenders, snap-adjustable leg width, integrated snow gaiters and two harness-compatible front pockets. A repair patch kit is included.
We think the Eiger Free Advanced Bib is as good as backcountry bibs get, light, tough and ready for the biggest days of the season.
