Crampon Pintech 26/27

Marker's Pintech crampon, made for Kingpin and Alpinist bindings. It slides in from the side of the toe piece without stepping out of the binding, and it is available in 80, 90, 105 and 120mm widths to match the ski.

A crampon only helps when it is on your foot, and this one has to come off the pack and go on at the bottom of the pitch. It also adds weight you carry all day for a few minutes of use.

For anyone touring on firm spring snow, glazed skin tracks, or icy sidehills. If you only ever tour in soft midwinter snow you can leave these on the shelf.

Size it to your ski waist rather than your binding. Too narrow and it will not reach the snow either side of the ski.

On a frozen morning traverse this is the difference between walking calmly across and sliding off into the trees.
