Kingpin Brake 26/27

Replacement brakes for the Marker Kingpin, in 75-100mm and 100-125mm. These are the stock brake assembly, so they are what you need if you have damaged one, if you are putting a Kingpin onto a wider ski than it was originally set up for, or if you are converting a brakeless setup back to brakes.

A brake adds weight at the heel and a little complexity to transitions. It also stops your ski going to the bottom of the slope without you, which is why almost everyone runs them. The brakeless alternative means committing to a leash and remembering to clip it every time.

For anyone running a Kingpin inbounds or on resort-access touring, and for anyone whose ski waist has changed. Skiers chasing minimum weight on big objectives tend to go the other way and fit the AFD platform instead.

Size the brake to the ski, not the binding: it should clear the waist without standing proud enough to catch. Bring the skis in and we will check before fitting.
