mountainFLOW eco-wax Infrared Waxer

The Infrared (IR) Waxer is mountainFLOW's take on the fastest, easiest and most effective way to wax: all the performance, none of the mess. Instead of an iron, it uses infrared heat from two 400 W bulbs, 800 W total, to help your bases absorb wax, and you can watch it soak in as you work. The US version runs on 110 V.

Because only the wax your base absorbs is needed, there is no scraping, just a brush to finish, and mountainFLOW says it uses about 40 times less wax than an iron with fewer fumes and less mess. The trade-off is technique: you hold it 2 to 4 inches from the base and keep it moving, since prolonged heat in one spot can damage a base.

It is for skiers and riders who wax at home and want a cleaner, quicker routine. It works with any hot wax and with alpine skis, Nordic skis and snowboards.

It measures about 8.5 x 5 x 7.5 inches, small enough to keep on a workbench or tuck into a closet between storms.
