The Unleashed 98 is Nordica's all-mountain freeride ski with a 98 mm waist. A Lite Performance poplar wood core is paired with carbon and a single strip of metal, Nordica's Drift Lock Technology, and the Freeride Flow Shape puts rocker in the tip and tail with traditional camber underfoot.

The trade-off is that a playful, rockered ski gives up a little of the locked-in feel of a full metal frontside carver. That strip of metal adds solid edge hold and vibration damping, so it still carves with confidence.

It is built for skiers who want one daily driver for everything: powder, bumps, trees and groomers. The rocker brings response, pop, flotation and easy buttering, and the partial twin tip keeps it playful.

The versatile 98 mm waist makes it quick edge to edge on firm days while still floating when it snows. Come talk with us about length and the right binding to match how you ski.

We think the Unleashed 98 is a fantastic everyday ski for Vermont, a playful ride that never sacrifices performance.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
