The Unleashed 98 CA is the carbon, no-metal version of Nordica's Unleashed 98, a 98 mm all-mountain freeride ski. It uses an all-wood Lite Performance poplar core with carbon stringers and True Tip construction, with early rise in the tip and tail and camber underfoot.

The trade-off for skipping the metal is a lighter, softer ski with a bit less damp hold at speed on hard snow. Skiers who want more grip for charging should look at the Unleashed 98 with Drift Lock metal.

It caters to skiers who love stunts and drops, while still performing on days spent lapping groomers or navigating the trees. The rocker profile handles varied terrain and conditions, and the early rise gives flotation in deep snow.

An all-wood core keeps it lighter and softer while delivering exceptional response and lots of pop, and the partial twin tip makes it right at home in the park. Come talk with us about length and the right binding to match how you ski.

We think the Unleashed 98 CA is an awesome playful ski for skiers who treat the whole mountain like a terrain park.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
