Tamok is Norrøna's freeride line, and dri3 is their own three-layer waterproof membrane rather than GORE-TEX. Bib construction, which means no snow up the back when you go down in deep snow, and no gap at the waist to manage.
The honest comparison to lofoten: dri3 is a strong membrane at a lower price, and it isn't GORE-TEX. Norrøna builds and stands behind it, and in normal skiing you're unlikely to notice a difference in weather protection. Where GORE-TEX Pro pulls ahead is long-term abrasion resistance under a heavy pack.
Tamok also runs a fuller cut than lofoten, which some people strongly prefer and others don't. It's a freeride fit in the loose sense rather than the technical sense.
So the decision is fit and budget more than performance. If you like room to move and don't need the GORE-TEX label, this is a lot of bib for the money. Try both cuts on before deciding, because the fit difference is the part you'll actually live with.
