Men's Ravine Plus 3L Pants 26/27

The Ravine Plus 3L Pants are robust, weatherproof freeride pants from Ortovox's Ravine series, developed for steep descents and deep powder. The Ravine 3L fabric combines an outer that is 51% recycled polyamide from fishing nets with a non-porous PU membrane rated to a minimum 20,000 mm water column and up to 25,000 g/m²/24h breathability. They weigh 712 g and are made in Europe.

Ravine 3L Merino inserts with a wool-blend backer sit in the areas most sensitive to cold, which makes them warmer than a plain shell pant. The trade-off is that warmth: on a sunny spring tour, a lighter softshell will run cooler.

Ortovox rates them top marks for freeride and solid for ski touring. They are for skiers who want one waterproof pant for storm days in the resort and big days in the backcountry, with integrated gaiters and Dyneema-Cordura edge protection built in.

Loose fit with an adjustable waistband using hook-and-loop and snaps, and a high back waistband. You get side zip vents, a zippered hip pocket and two thigh pockets, the right one with extra capacity, a mesh inner and a carabiner for a transceiver.

We think these are a fantastic all-winter freeride pant, warm, tough and ready for whatever falls from the sky.
