Women's Ortler Metawool 60 Rev Jacket 26/27

The Ortler Metawool 60 Rev Jacket is a lightweight, packable, reversible insulated jacket built for going up and riding down. Its 60 g/m² Metawool:T fill is a natural insulation of 40% Tencel lyocell, 40% merino wool and 20% polylactide, inside polyamide shells, one of them 100% recycled. The women's version weighs 270 g.

The idea is simple: one side is set up for the ascent and the other for the descent, with an explanatory print on the riding-down side so you always know which way round you are. The trade-off is that a light 60 g/m² fill is about just-right warmth, not deep cold, so on the harshest days plan on a shell over it.

Ortovox rates it top marks for ski touring and strong for mountaineering. It suits touring skiers who want an insulating layer that adapts from sweaty climbs to chilly descents, all in one light, packable piece.

Regular fit with elastic cuffs and an elastic waist. You get two front pockets on the going-up side and a backpack-compatible chest pocket on the riding-down side.
