The Cynic 2 Mips is the updated version of Pret's original Cynic, keeping its low-profile look while adding more control, a lighter feel and goggle integration. Mips is built into the core of the helmet to reduce rotational forces from angled impacts, and the liner uses HALEO antimicrobial EPS foam with IONIC+ fabric to stay fresh.
The trade-off of a low-profile helmet is that it carries less bulk, which is exactly what most skiers want. It is a clean everyday shape rather than an oversized freeride look.
It is for resort and backcountry skiers who want one helmet for cold chairlifts and warm bootpacks. A single glove-friendly lever opens or closes the front and upper vents, so you can dump heat on the climb and seal it up for the ride down.
The Ripcord360 fit system dials it in. Sizes are S (51 to 55 cm), M (55 to 59 cm) and L (59 to 62 cm), so measure around your head just above the eyebrows.
We think the Cynic 2 is one of the best all-around helmets on the hill, light, comfortable and easy to live with every day.
