The Rossignol Force 9 is a race-level Nordic pole built on a high-modulus shaft that is 85% carbon, tapering from 16 mm at the top to 9 mm at the tip. It has a natural cork rubber grip, Rossignol's ergonomic Race strap, a carbide tip and large, interchangeable XC Tips baskets.
The trade-off with a high-carbon pole is cost and care. It is lighter and stiffer than an aluminum or low-carbon pole, so more of your push goes into the snow, but carbon does not love being bashed against rocks or car doors.
It is for skiers who train or race and want a pole that feels snappy and efficient on every stride. It works for motivated beginners stepping up their gear as well as experienced racers.
Lengths run from 135 to 175 cm in 5 cm steps. Classic and skate poles are sized differently, so stop by and we will cut and size them to your height and technique.
We think the Force 9 is a great pole for fast laps on the groomed trails at Trapp and the Stowe Rec Path.
