The Rossignol X-ium Skating Junior is a junior skate ski that borrows from Rossignol's X-ium race line with a more accessible flex for young athletes. It uses a low-density wood core with air channels, basalt fiber reinforcement for strength and energy return, and ACTIV CAP construction that combines ROSSICAP with multi-directional fiberglass. A milled stone base finish helps glide, dimensions are 44/43/43 mm, and a two-part Turnamic integrated fixation plate with a single front anchor saves about 10 g.
The trade-off is that it is tuned for development, not elite racing. Rossignol balances torsional rigidity with a supple tip-to-tail flex, so it is more forgiving and lively than stiff, top-tier race skis.
It is aimed at beginner to intermediate junior skaters who are training or starting to race and are ready for a real performance ski.
The X-ium Skating Junior is made in 133, 143, 153 and 163 cm lengths to cover a wide range of growing skiers. A double groove guide helps the ski track and stay stable through each skate stride.
We think it is a fantastic ski for young skaters who want to go faster. Light, strong and lively, it rewards good technique and makes training genuinely fun.
