MTN Pure 26/27

The MTN Pure is the minimalist of Salomon's MTN bindings, at 295 g per binding. It is a pin toe and pin heel design built from aluminium, with multiple climbing aid heights you can switch without turning the heel. Salomon's patented step-in aid guides the toe into place, and a wider screw pattern adds security and better energy transmission.

Pure means minimal. Fewer pieces mean less weight and fewer things to break, and it keeps the feature set simple compared with the MTN Summit. It needs boots with tech inserts and rewards efficient touring more than heavy inbounds use.

It is for tourers counting grams on long days and big objectives. If you want more features or a heavier-duty setup, the MTN Summit or Shift² is the better fit.

Salomon lists skier weights from 108 to 242.5 lbs. We will mount it and check your boot fit in the toe before you head out, and the toe accepts dedicated crampons.

For the skier who loves to go far and fast, this is the binding to get. Light, clean and built to disappear underfoot.
