MTN Summit 12 26/27

MTN is Salomon's touring binding family, and the MTN Summit 12 is a pin toe and pin heel binding with a brake, weighing just 800 g a pair. Salomon's patented step-in aid guides the toe into place, the climbing aids switch without turning the heel, and the brake locks and unlocks easily. It is built from glass-fiber reinforced polyamide with a wide screw pattern.

This is a touring binding first. It saves a lot of weight compared with a frame or hybrid binding, and it relies on a boot with tech inserts. A heel ramp adds stability and edge grip, and the AutoFlex system lets the ski flex naturally.

It is for tourers who want light, reliable gear that is easy to use on cold mornings. Skiers who want alpine-style release and power for inbounds charging should look at the Shift² line.

Salomon lists skier weights from 147.7 to 264.6 lbs. Choose a brake width a little wider than your ski's waist, and we will mount and set it for you. The toe accepts dedicated crampons.
