MTN Summit 9 26/27

The MTN Summit 9 is Salomon's lighter-release version of the MTN Summit, a pin toe and pin heel touring binding with a brake at 800 g a pair. A patented step-in aid guides your toe in, climbing aids switch without turning the heel, and the brake locks and unlocks easily. It is made from glass-fiber reinforced polyamide with a wide screw pattern.

It saves real weight over a hybrid or frame binding and needs a boot with tech inserts. A heel ramp adds stability and edge grip, and the AutoFlex system keeps the ski's flex natural underfoot.

It is built for lighter skiers who want an easy, efficient touring setup. Heavier or more aggressive skiers should step up to the Summit 12.

Salomon lists skier weights from 108 to 198.4 lbs. Pick a brake width a little wider than your ski's waist and we will mount and set it for you. The toe is ready for dedicated crampons.

This binding keeps the focus on the tour, not the gear. Light, easy and dependable all winter.
