The S/Lab QST Blank is the second version of the Blank, co-developed with the young athletes of Salomon's Mountain Collective. It carries a 112mm waist, 137/126 tip and tail, a 17 m radius and a rocker-camber-rocker freeride profile. The build is a full poplar core with a titanal binding reinforcement, basalt and fiberglass layers, full sandwich sidewalls and a cork damplifier.
This is a charger. It wants speed and a strong skier, and it pays back with stability in powder and crud. At 112mm underfoot it is a lot of ski for hardpack days, and it rewards committed, aggressive skiing more than finesse.
It is for advanced and expert skiers who ski fast in soft snow, chopped-up snow and big terrain. If you want something more playful or easier going, the QST 106 is the smarter choice.
Salomon lists it at 170 to 192cm. Come talk with us and we will help you dial in the length.
On a big storm day with the whole mountain to ski, this is the ski you want under your feet. Stable, powerful and made for the fall line.
This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
