The S/Lab Shift² 13 MN is the heart of Salomon's hybrid Shift² line: a pin toe for climbing and an alpine heel for skiing, with a 6 to 13 DIN range. The Power Block AFD adds 30% more lateral stiffness, the hybrid toe has elastic travel and XL wings, the sliding toe pedal helps release in a side fall, and the hybrid heel uses an aluminium lever.
It skis like an alpine binding and tours like a tech binding, so it is heavier than a pure touring setup and far more confident on hardpack and at speed. The low profile chassis keeps you close to the snow for good feel.
It is built for advanced and expert skiers who split time between resort laps and backcountry tours. Lighter or less aggressive skiers will be happier on the 10.
Salomon lists skier weights from 147.7 to 286.6 lbs. Choose a brake a little wider than your ski's waist, and we will mount it and set the DIN. The toe accepts dedicated crampons.
For the one-quiver skier who wants inbounds power and backcountry access, this is our favorite. Tour it, charge it, repeat.
