The F1 RS is SCARPA's elite backcountry boot in the F1 line, built around Overlap Flow construction and weighing 1,340g per boot. It closes with a BOA Fit System, one buckle, and a Booster Power Strap, with a Pebax Rnew cuff and tongue over a Grilamid Fiber Glass LFT shell, a Vibram FS outsole, and the FS Lever ski/walk mode.

The honest trade is that this is a weight-first boot. Overlap Flow gives unrestricted range of motion on the skin track and a locked-in, high-power feel on the way down, but if outright descent power matters more than grams, the Maestrale RS is SCARPA's most powerful alpine touring boot.

It is for advanced backcountry skiers who cover a lot of vertical and want elite performance without the weight penalty. Women looking for the same boot should see the F1 RS Women's.

Overlap Flow makes stepping in and out easy, and the micro-adjustable, tool-free BOA system gives precise, consistent hold from the first run to the last. Sizing is Mondopoint, and a SCARPA half size shares its shell with the whole size above it.

For long days on the skin track where every gram counts and the descent still needs to be sharp, the F1 RS is a seriously fun boot to own.

Ski boots are sized in Mondopoint, based on the length of your foot in centimeters. The chart below is a general reference for converting between sizing systems.

This chart is not a fitting. The only way to know your ski boot size is to be fit in person, either with a Boot Fitting at our shop or from a professional fitting you have had elsewhere. Sizing, shape, and volume vary by brand and model, and a performance fit is snugger than your street shoe. Unworn boots can be returned under our return policy, but a boot that doesn't fit can be a big hassle for your trip if you haven't tried it on.

Half Sizes

Ski boots are built with one shell for each full and half size, so a 27 and a 27.5 are the same boot with a different liner or footboard. That is why sizes are listed together, like 27/27.5.

Very few models differ from this. Scarpa is the main exception, pairing sizes the other way (for example, 26.5/27 share a shell). When a model is sized differently, we call it out on that product's page.
