The Voile 3-Pin Cable Traverse is a light touring telemark binding made in Utah. It sits between the Hardwire 3-Pin and the 3-Pin Cable, with a toe piece like the Hardwire 3-Pin, cable springs in place of rods and cartridges, and a ramped 10mm riser with a 3 degree ramp angle.
The trade-off is a moderate flex. It is built for long days over moderate terrain with the occasional steep pitch, not for driving stiff plastic boots hard.
It is a great match for skiers on leather or 2-buckle plastic boots who want a simple, light 3-pin setup. You can climb without the cables and descend with them, and the 3 pins serve as a backup.
Weight is 2 lb 2 oz per pair, 11 ounces less than the Hardwire 3-Pin. The included 8 inch cable springs fit boots up to US men's 13, and 9 or 10 inch springs are available for larger boots. Heel pad height is 18mm, with dual-height 55mm and 75mm climbing elevators.
