The Voile Hyper Endeavor BC is an ultralight carbon touring ski handmade in Utah, with an 82mm waist at 171cm and Voile's scaled Traction Pattern base. Inspired by skimo racing, it sits between the WSP and UltraVector in the Voile line, with a paulownia core, two layers of Voile Carbon-Weave and triaxial fiberglass.
The scales grip on low-angle climbs and rolling terrain, so you can blur the line between skinning and skating, but they do not replace skins on steeper climbs. The narrow waist favors efficiency over float, so it is not the ski for deep powder. Voile designs it around AT bindings.
It is a great match for long traverses, hut trips, mellow tours and anyone who wants to move fast over mixed terrain with fewer transitions.
Lengths run 164, 171 and 178cm. Dimensions run from 112-80-97mm at 164cm to 117-84-102mm at 178cm, with turn radii from 18 to 19.5 meters and pair weights from 1,900g to 2,270g. The Early Rise Camber profile pairs a long running length and camber underfoot with a flat, wide tail.
We love the Hyper Endeavor BC for big days covering ground, where every gram and every saved transition counts.
Tech Features
Traction Pattern Base
Voile's scaled BC base grips on low-angle climbs and rolling terrain without skins.
Early Rise Camber
Early-rise tip and wide shovel for powder float, camber underfoot for edge hold and a wide, flat tail for control in debris and firm snow.
Paulownia Core
Paulownia with double carbon for an ultralight build that Voile says saves nearly a pound per pair.
Voile Carbon-Weave
Two layers of carbon combined with triaxial fiberglass for torsional stiffness with less weight.
Full-Contact Steel Edges
Hardened steel edges with inset teeth for grip on hardpack and ice.
Anti-Ice Topsheet
Textured polyamide topsheet that limits snow and ice buildup on long approaches.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
