The Völkl Blaze 94 is a light, precise all-mountain ski that turns easily and loves exploring less-traveled terrain. It uses a hybrid multilayer woodcore with a CNC-milled Isocore center and GreenCore elements, with a 0.3 mm Titanal binding platform.

Völkl builds it with a 4 Radius Drive sidecut, roughly 20 m in the shovel, 40 m from shovel to binding, 15 m under the binding and 25 m behind it, to make turn initiation predictable. TPU suspension inserts at the tip and tail smooth out variable snow, and full sidewalls provide direct power transmission.

The trade-off with a light, narrower ski is less float in deep snow. In return it is quick, precise and easy to carry up the skin track.

It suits intermediate to advanced skiers looking for an all-mountain ski with touring potential. Available in Black and Rose, with lengths from 151 to 186 cm.

For carving groomers in the morning and exploring the side country in the afternoon, the Blaze 94 is a light, lively ski that is a joy to ski.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
