The Völkl Revolt 101 is a playful, energetic all-mountain ski with a 101 mm waist. It is built on a multilayer beech and poplar woodcore, with harder wood in the binding area, full sidewalls with a mini cap at the tip and tail, and a P-Tex 2100 sintered base.

A 3D sidecut uses long radii at the tip and tail for stability and a shorter mid-body radius for quick turns, on a rocker-camber-rocker profile with a partial twin tail.

The trade-off with a playful, twin-tipped ski is that it does not lock into turns like a heavy, metal-laced charger. It prefers to pop, slash and float.

It suits intermediate to advanced skiers who want float in soft snow and responsiveness on firm terrain. Lengths run 168 to 189 cm.

For skiers who treat the whole mountain as a playground, the Revolt 101 is a lively, playful ski that brings out a smile.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
